Alison Newth is a local artist, living and working in FSJ, BC. Since 2014, she has been a proud member of the Flying Colours Artists Association, a group of inspiring and encouraging local artists whose excitement for art is contagious.
In 2016, Alison was juried into the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) as an active member and joined the Peace River Chapter of FCA in 2017. She is currently getting ready for her first joint art exhibit, with her good friend and fellow artist, Diana Hofmann, set for July 2018! In the fall of 2017, she started offering art classes for kids, teens and adults.
You may have seen Alison’s paintings around Fort St. John at such places as FSJ’s Peace Gallery North, Whole Wheat & Honey and The Artisan Farmhouse. Her paintings are in private collections locally, as well as in various parts of Canada and the US.
Alison works in acrylics and usually paints local landscapes and wildlife; her favourite subject is the Peace River valley.
